Rebecca Jade is the kind of artist who doesn’t just sing—she takes the music by the throat and makes it her own. Born into a musical family, it’s no surprise she turned that love for sound into a career that’s been going strong for nearly two decades. Growing up with her mother—also a vocalist—Rebecca was steeped in a wide range of influences, genres, and styles. It was only natural that she’d follow in those footsteps, but she’s paved a path that’s uniquely hers.

Rebecca’s been everywhere, played with everyone. She’s toured with the legendary Sheila E. since 2017, even performing in the Emmy-nominated "Let’s Go Crazy: The GRAMMY Salute to Prince" in 2020. Oh, and she also sang backup for Sir Elton John at the 2020 Academy Awards. You can’t make that up. She’s been a staple on the Dave Koz Cruises since 2016, hit the road with Koz for his Christmas tour in 2021 and 2022, and she’s even shared the stage with Eric Darius. Rebecca’s versatility and soul have landed her opening gigs for icons like Will DowningBoney James, and Jeffrey Osborne, all while owning stages at spots like Spaghettini and Anthology in San Diego.

And it’s not just live performances—Rebecca Jade has earned some serious accolades. In 2022, she picked up two San Diego Music Awards for “Best Music Video” and “Best R&B/Funk/Soul Song” for her single "What’s It Gonna Be" from her upcoming album A Shade of Jade. She’s also snagged “Song of the Year” (2021) and “Artist of the Year” (2020). Her jazz side isn’t lacking either—her album Planet Cole Porter, a collaboration with Peter Sprague, won the SDMA for Best Jazz Album in 2018. And don’t forget about her band Rebecca Jade & the Cold Fact, who tore through the scene with their soul and funk, collecting a handful of SDMAs along the way.

Whether she’s belting out soul, rocking a jazz standard, or giving you something new, Rebecca Jade is a powerhouse. She’s not just riding the wave; she’s making it.
